Why Are Mushrooms Getting So Much Attention Right Now?

Because the old answers aren’t holding up.

People are tired of surface-level solutions, conflicting advice, and feeling like they’re guessing when it comes to their health.

They’re looking for something that actually makes sense.

Maybe you are too:
  • You’re dealing with brain fog, fatigue, or chronic inflammation, and nothing seems to fully resolve it
  • You’ve noticed how much wellness advice contradicts itself… and stopped blindly trusting it
  • You want something natural and effective, but not vague, trendy, or oversimplified
  • You’ve heard about medicinal mushrooms, but no one has explained them in a way that truly clicks

Mushrooms aren’t magic. But they are powerful when you understand how they work.

Decode the Mushroom Matrix.

Unpack common myths, dive into research-backed insights, and hear real-world case studies that show how mushrooms are used in everyday life.

These classes are led by prolific authors and renowned herbalists Robert Rogers, RH (AHG), a leading fungi expert, and Matthew Wood, MS. This series offers a deep and reverent dive into the world of medicinal mushrooms, blending cutting-edge science, traditional wisdom, and rich storytelling to awaken a new level of understanding of how fungi support the immune system, cognitive function, gut health, chronic illness, and spiritual connection.

Fungi Basics, Beta-Glucans, Edible & Medicinal Mushrooms
Class 1

This class is your fungi 101 made deeply nourishing and wildly empowering. You’ll be guided through the foundational compounds and benefits of medicinal mushrooms, including the underrated superheroes like beta-glucans, ergothioneine, chitin, and triterpenes. Expect myth-busting, microbiome magic, and new understanding of how mushrooms work with – not against – your immune system.

Inside this class, we cover:
  • What beta-glucans actually do, and why they’re just one piece of the puzzle (not the whole story)
  • How mushrooms influence the gut microbiome and immune system, and why that connection matters
  • Common misconceptions: raw mushrooms, immune “stimulation,” and what’s been misunderstood for years
  • The role of ergothioneine and why it’s considered one of the most powerful compounds found in mushrooms
  • Why cooking mushrooms matters (plus the vitamin D hack that changes everything)
  • Key compounds beyond beta-glucans (like chitin, terpenes, lectins, and more) that make mushrooms so valuable
  • Shiitake and Maitake in focus, with additional insights into button mushrooms and oyster mushrooms
  • Ailments covered: Gut dysfunction, immune imbalance, chronic inflammation, cancer, metabolic dysfunction (including blood sugar imbalance), neurodegenerative conditions, chronic infection patterns

💡 You’ll leave with a science-backed, soul-honoring understanding of the power and practicality of fungi.

Fungal Facts, Fallacies & Stories of Medicinal Mushrooms
Class 2

This class is a living, breathing conversation between deep tradition, clinical wisdom, and cultural lore. You’ll explore the truths and tall tales around mushroom medicine, guided by Robert Rogers and Matthew Wood, and joined by highly respected herbalist and contributing grower Andrea Reisen, whose personal journey with mushrooms played a role in her cancer remission. Together, they bring decades of hands-on experience. Through rich storytelling and research-backed insights, you’ll gain confidence in how and when to use mushrooms

Inside this class, we:
  • Cut through the noise and finally understand what’s true (and wildly untrue) about medicinal mushrooms
  • Learn how to confidently choose high-quality mushroom products without falling for marketing hype
  • Explore oyster mushrooms in more depth, with insight into polypores and the wider world of medicinal fungi
  • Debunk common myths around safety, sourcing, and use, so you can work with mushrooms wisely
  • Hear real practitioner stories that bring mushrooms out of theory and into everyday life
  • Walk away with practical, common-sense guidance for using medicinal mushrooms with clarity and confidence
  • Oyster, Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Turkey Tail, and Cordyceps
  • Ailments covered: Cancer, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, upper respiratory issues/COPD, atopic dermatitis, kidney issues, anxiety/depression, memory loss/cognitive decline

🍵 You'll leave this session feeling like you're sitting around the fire with old herbal kin, soaking in the kind of wisdom that lasts a lifetime.
