Central Nervous System - Intermediate

with Matthew Wood, MS and Phyllis D. Light, MA

Herbalist with 75 Years of Joint Experience as Consulting Herbalists & Herbal Authors

In these classes, Matt and Phyllis discuss neurotransmitters in detail and discuss herbs from that standpoint. These classes also act as a base for discussion of the ANS (autonomic nervous system)

Herb discussion in the beginning and intermediate classes include: skullcap, motherwort, peppermint, spearmint, pennyroyal, lemon balm, catnip, chamomile, lavender, rosemary, sage, valerian, vervain, black hoarhound, monarda fistulosa, gotu kola, and many others.

In the intermediate class, we talk about neurotransmitters and the plants that act upon them, including the nightshades, psilocybes, and other mushrooms.
